The babushka design was inspired by a little Russian doll given to me by my mother when I was pregnant with my eldest boy. I still have the doll, albeit a little worn, and it sits on my desk everyday. One day whilst looking at the doll my Babushka family idea was born.
As with all my designs, the Babushka Boy card was created in my little studio by the sea; starting life as sketch, then developed as a lino print and finally digitally crafted to create the unique Flowers for Susie colour palette.
A high quality print using water based inks on 260gsm premium linen textured white card this A6 card also comes with a beautiful steel grey envelope. The cards and envelopes are bound by a paper band making the cards and their packaging totally recyclable.
